- I have the opportunity to score a set of Amiga Unix tapes from a guy who
- purchased a 3000 UX to do AmigaOS things only. This brings about a few
- questions:
-
- 1) Will Amiga Unix run on my (rather souped up[1]) 1200?
- AFAIK the 3000 does things like boot kickstart from floppy,
- so if Amiga Unix needs this facility, I'll be in trouble.
-
- 2) Assuming Amiga Unix will run on my 1200, is it worth the effort?
- This is considering the relative levels of support between say
- NetBSD compared to Amiga Unix, I may be better of building NetBSD
- or Linux.

-
- [1] Yes, it has got a MMU and sufficient RAM.
